City walks Gouda is an initiative of passionate locals. In collaboration with VVV Gouda.
Our City Walk Guides have been “Gouda Cheese Heads” for years, as the nickname of people of Gouda. All our guides have followed the training of “Goldologist”. A training provided by the Historical Association "Die Goude". We have put together various interesting and fun walks for you. The choice is diverse for young and older. No history lesson but expressed in a lively and historical way.
Our guides will share their knowledge with you smoothly and will include a quip or anecdote about the city of Gouda. It will not be a history lesson with mainly dates. Lively but historically sound. More interesting and casual Gouda walks will follow soon.
The historic center of Gouda has medieval dimensions. You can almost say that everything is within reach. Many beautiful historic buildings and monuments can be admired within his ring of canals. The walking distances between the monuments in Gouda are short.
A city walk takes 90 minutes. A thousand years of Gouda history is definitely worth telling.
You can book a City Walk from 2 people, a maximum of 15 people per guide has been set. This maximum is necessary to ensure the intelligibility of the guide for you.
The price of a walk for an hour and a half is € 75. The explanation of the walk is in Dutch and Engels.
The starting point of each walk is at the front of the 'Historic Town Hall' on the Markt in the center of Gouda.
A walk can only be booked online or in writing via our contact form.
The walk is final when you have completed your online booking, sent it to our email address and we have confirmed the walk in writing.
You can pay the fee for the walk at the guide on the spot.
